WEATHER ADVISORY | SEPTEMBER 29, 2022

The residents of southwest Florida are in our thoughts and prayers.

The Estates fared very well. Only one building lost power and the emergency generator functioned as intended. The Health Center did not lose power.

The roads on campus have been cleared of debris and clean up will continue throughout the day. No branches or tree limbs fell on any buildings or vehicles.

The phones are now working.

Thank you for your continued support and prayers.

WEATHER ADVISORY | SEPTEMBER 28, 2022

The strongest hurricane in recent memory has made landfall on Captiva Island. Everyone in southwest Florida is in our thoughts and prayers. To learn more about the storm’s track, visit www.nhc.noaa.gov.

Our hurricane plans are activated, and our Estates’ family is “hunkering down” to wait out the worst of the storm for our area. We have over 75 employees and family members who evacuated to the Estates for the duration of the storm. Our Department Directors will be onsite until the storm passes. Additional staff are on call and ready to clean up our campus post-storm.

In the likely event that the phones go out, the following emergency numbers are available:

Front Desk (Independent Living): (863) 600-6095
Villa (Assisted Living): (863) 500-0787
Manor (Skilled Nursing): (863) 500-0785

Please keep the Estates and our residents and staff in your prayers. We will get through this together.

WEATHER ADVISORY | SEPTEMBER 27, 2022

The projected path of Hurricane Ian is forecasted to impact the west coast of Florida later this week. While the storm’s track is uncertain, it is expected to bring considerable wind and rain.

Our hurricane plans have been activated and our staff is making final preparations for any impact to our community.

It’s important to prepare an emergency hurricane kit. However, our residents have peace of mind and security in knowing our community is safe, equipped with generators, and prepared should a storm strike. To learn more about the storm’s track, visit www.nhc.noaa.gov.

In the likely event that the phones go out, the following emergency numbers are available:

Front Desk (Independent Living): (863) 600-6095
