A PERSONAL MESSAGE FROM OUR CEO & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, BRIAN ROBARE

February 12, 2021

A Shot of Hope

We can now celebrate that over 90% of our residents across all levels of care will have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. With this latest round of vaccinations, we are one step closer to achieving our goal of herd immunity at our community.

After living and operating in a pandemic for the past 11 months, we are extremely grateful and blessed to have been granted priority access to these life-saving vaccines for our residents and team members. They have given us hope that the beginning of the end of this pandemic is upon us. We can now start to envision and plan for the phased reopening of our community – and we are not wasting any time. Beginning next week, a team of residents and staff will begin the challenging process of re-evaluating how to best modify our practices and safety measures over the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, we are continuing our efforts to encourage apprehensive staff members to “Say Yes to the Vaccine.” By emphasizing its proven safety, effectiveness and overall benefits to the entire community, we are hopeful the percentage of employees who agree to the vaccine will continue to climb. To date, nearly 60% of staff members have been vaccinated. We urge all those within our community to take this critical step to protect themselves and others.

Please be assured that The Estates at Carpenters is aware of the spread of new variants of COVID-19. We are closely monitoring public health recommendations and will follow any additional safety measures that may be required.

Finally, we are thankful for the tremendous support and words of encouragement we’ve received over the last 11 months. When difficult decisions were necessary, the patience and understanding shown by you, our wonderful Estates extended family, has fueled our determination to continue the fight against this virus. Now that there is light at the end of the proverbial tunnel, together, we can begin our journey back to our next normal.

Please join me in praying for the continued health, safety and well-being of our residents and team members.

Thank you.
